Wellington Beginners Photography Course | Course Feedback from first session

Students are taught how to use their manual settings

Finding interesting angles and locations for the shoots.  This was a graffiti alleyway on the way to the park.
Teaching how different photos look from different angles and heights.
Comments from the Feedback forms:

"The thing I got the most from the course was Depth of Field and F stops.
I had heard of this concept before but didn't really fully understand what it meant.  The light in my head went on and I now know what situations to use the high and low F stops.  Just need to practice it now.
Mandi, I think you have a really nice calm patient manner.  It's great to see someone following their dream and making a success of it."

"I loved this short workshop.  It gave me the basic information I needed in order to take amazing, clear photos.  It explained all the things I knew my photos lacked and what settings I needed to use (or turn off) to improve them.  Just the right amount of information  for a beginner and VERY INSPIRING !!!  I am soo exciting about the possibilities !!  I have a gorgeous baby just waiting for gorgeous moments to be captured now !!"

"I gained a good understanding of my camera- I can now use manual mode! Have finally got my head around aperture and shutter speed... and even learnt about ISO and white balance which I had no idea about previously."

"I learned how to work out and change my settings and sort out different views/backgrounds"

"That the buttons on the camera should be like an extention of your body, and then learning how the buttons work and the demonstration with water really helped.

"I am also looking forward to getting a camera with aperture and shutter settings so I have more control over what my photos turn out like and experiencing less disappointment due to poor lighting etc :-).  (But will keep using my 'handbag' camera too!)

"Websites were great references too. "
